There’s no quit in Anthony Belgiovene.
After an offseason spent dialing in his setup, Anthony rolled into the weekend with a fresh outlook and a fast ride. He threw down a P3 in qualifying, led a chunk of the prefinal while dropping a purple lap, and looked poised to put it on the box in the final.
But racing had other plans.
Turn 1, Lap 1. Completely taken out. Dropped to P31. That should’ve been the end of the story, but Anthony had other ideas. With no draft and nearly 25 pounds over, he clawed his way through the field, slicing up to P13 overall and P11 in class, less than three-tenths off the fastest time of the race.
It wasn’t the result the team wanted, but it was one hell of a statement.
